Bakhat e Nasar (c 634 – 562 BC) was lord of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, who ruled c. 605 BC – 562 BC. Both the development of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the demolition of Jerusalem’s sanctuary are attributed to him. He is offered in the Book of Daniel and is said in a few other books. He is otherwise called Bakhat Nasar, which signifies “champ of the destiny”, or truly, “destiny vict”.
